Pets Allowed! A Dog-Friendly Holiday in Sooke

We know that pets are a part of the family, so Comfort Cove Cottage has a "pets allowed" policy. Dogs of all shapes and sizes have been our guests over the years and have enjoyed themselves immensely (as have their humans!). Our location in East Sooke on Vancouver Island is a natural paradise.

What Makes Us So Dog-Friendly?

• The property is fenced! Once your humans drive onto the cottage grounds and close the gates, well-behaved doggies (like you!) can be let off leash (no chasing wildlife, though!). It's all fenced except for the waterfront, which makes it easier for your people to keep watch over you.

• Lots of room to roam. The cottage property is actually pretty big and there are lots of things to explore. Why not take your people for a romp down to the waterfront?

• Lots of interesting smells. The property features towering trees, perfect for sniffing. Human guests like how beautiful and natural it is plus the trees provide shade in the summer. It's like having your own miniature private park!

• So many birds (and other wildlife) to watch! Many of our previous doggy guests report that lying on the deck watching birds fly by at eye level is really, really fun. There are so many types of birds, from huge eagles to those tiny little hummingbirds that fly by so fast they can be gone before you blink.

• A private dock is the perfect vantage place to watch for geese, heron, eagle, plus the occasional passing boat. And if you get tired, you can take a snooze in the sun while your people relax by the water.

• Close to great (GREAT!) walking and hiking trails. Take an easy trot down wide, well-maintained trails in East Sooke Park or the Galloping Goose Trail. Many of the trails meander along the coastline and have spectacular views and sunsets for your people (and interesting shrubs and trees for doggies). If you like a challenge, East Sooke Park has superb hiking that will help tire out even super-active pups. Both East Sooke Park and the Galloping Goose Trail are within 10 minutes drive of the cottage.

And finally, we love pets! Comfort Cove Cottage is a pets allowed Sooke accommodation... but we don't just allow dogs, we welcome them. All sizes, too!
