In November and December, eagles head to Goldstream Park to feed. The beautiful
trails are popular with both the locals and with tourists. The photo on the right
is of Niagara Falls, which is supposed to be even higher than its namesake
in Ontario, but not nearly as wide.
A short hike in Goldstream Park leads you to this scenic little bridge in
Niagara Canyon.
A few minutes later, on the same hike, you'll reach this old railroad trestle bridge.

Witty's Lagoon is a favourite bird-watching area, with spectacular scenery and
beautiful hiking trails.
Picnic or swim at the popular Sooke Potholes Regional Park. The "potholes"
are deep pools in the river, perfect for a cool dip on a hot summer day.
Whiffen Spit is a much-loved walk in Sooke. Accessed via Quimper Park in the Sooke
town core, this scenic walk extends out into the Sooke Harbour with beautiful ocean
landscapes to either side.
